Doing a Histogram for MAT 204   Tags: excel, histograms  

You may have to do a Histogram for a project in the MAT 204 course or other more advanced math courses. 

What follows is an EXAMPLE of how to create a Histogram step by step using Microsoft Office Excel 2007. 

Your individual histograms will differ based on your BIN range and Frequency.

We will follow the steps per instruction as they are handed out to the MAT 204 class when creating the Histogram.  

To open Microsoft Office Excel 2007, in Microsoft Windows XP, go to the START MENU, then ALL PROGRAMS and then find the MICROSOFT OFFICE 2007 group. Excel 2007 is within that group.  Select it to open.

Once MS Excel 2007 is open, click on the top of the page on the PAGE LAYOUT tab.  Click the button labeled “margins” then select “Custom Margins…”
