How to search Google more effectively:
Consider limiting your results to government, education, or organization websites. You can do this in Google by adding the following phrases to your searches:
- Government: add "site:.gov" to your search (Ex. Netsilik site:.gov)
- Education: add "site:.edu" to your search (Ex. Nuer site:.edu)
- Organization: add "site:.org" to your search (Ex. Maya site:.org)

OneSearch and Google are unlikely to have all of the information you need for this project. The resources below are additional resources you can use to find information on your topic.
- AnthroSourcePublished by the American Anthropological Association. Not all material published here will be available in full text. Look for results marked "Free Access" or "Open Access." These can be downloaded in PDF format. To search for articles, use the search bar on the top right of the page.
- eHRAF World CulturesProvides detailed background information on various cultures. To use: Find your chosen culture in the alphabetical list, or use the "Search Culture Index" bar. Click the name of the culture and then click the "Full Profile" link towards the bottom left of the small summary box. In the Full Profile, click the "Summary" button above the map for the full culture details.
