Chesapeake College provides goals, objectives, and strategies for online and hybrid learning, which is evaluated and reviewed annually by the college. The responsibility for online and hybrid learning is a team effort supported by the Committee for Teaching and Learning. Coordination and quality assurance of the online and hybrid learning is the responsibility of the Director of Instructional Systems in conjunction with the appointed institutional committee and academic departments.
By offering online and hybrid courses Chesapeake College responds to the needs and goals of students with flexible, accessible programs and courses. Distance Learning is an alternative delivery for instruction, not a separate program. Academic/learning resources, student services, and technical and administrative support are provided for all forms of distance learning programs and courses.
