Makeup Exam Appointment Scheduling

The Testing Center is available to students for makeup exams, exams for online courses, and exams for students with testing accommodations.

 

Testing Center Requirements

To utilize the Testing Center, students must:

  • Present a valid photo ID (e.g., current School ID card, driver’s license, or passport).
  • Provide the instructor's name for the course.
  • Specify the course name (e.g., MAT-031, CIS-115, etc.)
  • Identify the test being taken (e.g., Test 2, Midterm, etc.)
  • Store personal items, including books, notes, electronics, and bags, in provided lockers.
  • Remove hats and head coverings unless worn for religious or medical reasons, with confirmation from a testing administrator.

Additionally, students must adhere to the Chesapeake College Student Code of Conduct policy.

 

Exam Materials and Procedures

The Testing Center will provide the necessary instruments for your exam, including scratch paper, pencils, and a calculator. If you are permitted to use notes, the Testing Center will collect and submit them to your instructor.

 

Academic Integrity Policy

All testing regulations and policies outlined in the Chesapeake College Student Code of Conduct are strictly enforced. Any observed testing irregularities will be reported to the respective course instructor. The handling of such incidents will be at the instructor's discretion, and students are encouraged to discuss any issues directly with their instructor.

 

Accessibility Testing Center Policy

Chesapeake College operates a dedicated Testing Center to ensure fair testing conditions for all students, including those with approved accommodations. All tests taken within the center are proctored to maintain academic integrity.

 

Student Responsibilities

  • Contact the Office of Accessibility Services at least 48 hours before the testing date to request accommodations.
  • Share their Accommodation Plan with professors at least 48 hours before the testing day.
  • Students taking the TEAS Test and requiring accommodations should notify the Office of Accessibility Services at least 48 hours before their testing date.

Failure to adhere to these deadlines may result in accommodation requests not being fulfilled.

 

Faculty Responsibilities

Faculty must submit Student Accommodations Testing forms and assessments to the Testing Center at least 24 hours before the testing date.
