The trio of learning resources at Chesapeake College; the Library, Academic Support Center, and Testing Center; truly are the hub of support for students and faculty. We also support the community through our library resources and as a regional testing site.
- The Library of Chesapeake College provides students, faculty and community members with various resources to meet their informational and research needs and supports the programs that make up the current curriculum offerings. The library has a collection of 29,000 print titles, more than 500,000 e-books, over 54,000 digital media, 50 print serial subscriptions, and over 55,000 electronic serials. The library subscribes to over more than 50 databases providing full-text material, bibliographic citations, images, audio, and films.
- The Academic Support Center offers tutoring for all students attending Chesapeake College. The dedicated staff of peer and professional tutors serves as resources for students in math, science, nursing, technology, business, written and oral communication, and critical thinking skills. While the Center is student-centered, a variety of academic support services are available to faculty and staff members, as well. The Academic Support Center strives for student retention so that students can ultimately meet their academic goals.
- The Testing Center provides examinees with available, secure, accessible, and professional testing services as well as resources to enable participation in educational, career, and professional pursuits. The Testing Center allows Chesapeake College students and other test takers to demonstrate knowledge, achieve certification, engage in professional development, enhance competencies and partake in lifelong learning in an optimal testing environment. The Testing Center is a member of the National College Testing Association (NCTA) and is a part of the Consortium of College Testing Centers (CCTC).
