Using electronic or other devices to audio or video record any person, while on campus* or at College-supervised or College-sponsored activities, without his/her prior knowledge or effective consent is prohibited. This prohibited conduct includes taking photographs without express permission of the subject, as well as recording or filming lectures and classroom activities without the Instructor's permission.
* Persons can be photographed without their consent in public spaces where no expectations of privacy exists. Examples of public spaces include, but are not limited to: café, sidewalks, parking lots, quad. Examples of protected areas include, but are not limited to: classrooms, meeting rooms, bathrooms, locker rooms.
Students must fill out and sign the college’s Recording Authorization Form, which will be provided to the student by the instructor. This form needs to be completed prior to the first recording and is applicable for that semester and that class only. Recording of these sessions is authorized solely for the educational use of the individual student and may not be reproduced or uploaded to any publicly accessible web environments. Authorized recordings of lectures shall not be shared, published, or posted without the instructor's consent.
